The purpose of doing an EEG (electroencephalogram) recording is to measure brainwave activity. That means that we want to find out how often (and in what amount) the neurons are firing in different parts of your brain.

There are a few things that you can do to get the most accurate recording/measurements.
Try to get a good night’s sleep the day before.
Drink plenty of water (at least 2 glasses) before you arrive to the office.
Refrain from drugs, alcohol, and caffeine for 12 hours prior to the recording.
Take any regular medications, unless advised otherwise by the Stable Roots staff.
Come with clean, dry hair free of any “products”.
Remove earrings on your earlobes (we will be attaching sensors there using a gooey paste).
Have a good meal before coming for your appointment.
